FABRIC SHOP there is an on-site fabric and haberdashery shop opening hours vary so PLEASE CHECK. Typically, open Tuesday 10.00am to 4.00pm, Wednesday 10.00am to 4.30pm & Friday evenings 7.00pm to 10.00pm. Other times by arrangement & subject to workshops running Message me to check as I am often in, outside of these times.

LET’S GO CRAFTING!

Being creative in the company of others is a great recipe for fun & wellbeing. Add a cuppa & a slice of cake what more could you want! 
By sharing your projects with others, it helps to inspire & encourage creativity, but it’s also great for your own mental health.

The centre offers a light, spacious environment with a downstairs studio room (average size wheelchair accessible) and a large open upstairs space, as well as a small shop area with fabrics, haberdashery and some craft supplies. 

We offer a wide range of WORKSHOPS, throughout the year for children and adults and are always adding new experiences and sourcing new tutors to keep it fresh!

DISABILITY ACCESS – The ground floor studio is accessible by wheelchair and also to the outside patio area. There are ramps available to access these spaces.

If you are interested in joining us, booking in is required for our popular weekly social get togethers. A fun way to join in with others, while away a few hours, meet new friends, be inspired and learn new skills.
You can bring a project to work on, choose from a variety of crafts at the studio, there may be a charge for some of these, Indian block printing, silk painting, mosaics, card making, mandala dotting, stencilling etc. You can also make syringe driver/bereavement bags for local hospitals, charity patchwork quilts for local people or just sit & natter in our cosy corner (The Nookery). Refreshments provided and of course cake!

BIRTHDAY PARTIES – GROUP BOOKINGS – TEAM BUILDING EVENTS – A MEETING PLACE
Do you have a group of friends that like to meet up a couple of times a year to spend time together having fun? or perhaps a team building event? Then the craft centre could be just the place to book an event. A minimum of 10 guests required to book, a choice of different craft workshops to choose from – message for more details and prices.
PRIVATE GROUPS can hire space for their own club days/nights subject to availability, starts from £25.00ph includes refreshments.

CHILDRENS PARTIES – Aged 8 years upwards catered for – 2 hours allocated. Choice of crafts available. Plenty of notice is required to secure dates due to other workshops being booked at least 6 months ahead.
**Mosaics, paper crafting, block printing, lantern making, sewing, Mandala dotting – start from £130.00 for 6 children, additional children charged at £15.00 per head
**Painting parties with Vibrant Art £250.00 for 10 children – choose your own picture design

18/2/25 – HALF TERM KIDS SEWING WORKSHOP – 10.00am – 1.00pm – an opportunity to learn the quilt as you go technique making  a cushion or a tote bag £25.00 – fabrics and cushion pad included – 10 years upwards some  experience of using a sewing machine is preferred

18/2/25 – HALF TERM MOSAIC WORKSHOP – 2.30pm to 5.00pm – £25.00 tile your initial using a pre-cut wooden letter, then paint the frame. Grouting will be done after the event and will be ready for collection two weeks later. (you can take grout home and do it yourself if preferred) Aged 8 years upwards or 6 years  if accompanied by a parent

This technique can be used in a variety of ways once mastered such as bespoke embroidered items from children’s artwork, lampshades, turning plain clothing into something unique or adding details to bags etc

A new workshop for 2025,  creating a painted glass bottle – a variety of templates available on the day with Suzanne from Vibrant Art
Choice of clear bottle with lights or a painted bottle no lights. The painted bottle will require a varnish coat so can be collected after the event. Base colour also to be confirmed prior to the event.
